Neptune Quest
A downloadable game for Windows
Inspired by a quote from Megedimension Neptunia VII and the credits from Hyperdimension Neptunia V, this game takes place in the world of the original Dragon Quest game with all game mechanics intact - then changes gears at a certain unmissable point within the game.
This game was created using RPG Maker VX Ace. Originally released in September 2019.
Please support the official games and franchises - Dragon Quest, Neptunia, and any other games that are showcased here.
Please feel free to offer constructive criticism, but keep in mind that the mechanics are set up the way they are to mimic the original Dragon Quest as closely as possible.
In addition, please be sure to comment on any bugs or glitches you may find so that I can track them down and fix them.

The game looks interesting. Can you please specify, unless it's supposed to be a secret or surprise, what exactly you mean by "changes gears"? In particular: Will the battle system remain turn-based throughout the game? Since I only like turn-based battles, it would be my greatest fear to play the first hours just to discover that I suddenly had to drop the game. Thanks in advance.
It's intended to be a surprise, but to add a level of comfort - the game will continue to be fully turn based. Without giving away too much, some changes include access to new maps, a full shift in the game music, and an overall shift in the tone of the game.
Also, thanks for your patience on the reply - still getting used to the messaging system on this system and didn't catch I had a message! Guess I'll learn as I go~
